Poppers Wet Fly Nymphs or Dry Fly Fishing

Just as the name indicates the surface flies usually suspend themselves on the surface of the water. The submariners or wet flies go below the surface of the water imitated the aquatic life cycle of the mimicked insect.
Poppers are one of the most popular and effective styles of flies. Resembling anything from the larger adult insects to frogs and injured bait fish. They are usually made of cork, foam, balsa wood or even spun deer hair and are a favorite of many fly fishing bass anglers across the country.
Flat or concave heads on the poppers cause them to make a gurgling or popping sound when pulled or retrieved across the surface of the water.
